Adding that the state is blessed with aboundance natural resources, hence the university will help in the promotion of local manufacturing and reduce the dependency on importation.
According to the governor, the institution would be of international standards in the areas of quality staffers, students and learning environment. Noting that the state government was already funding the institution's account and that other sources of funds are being targeted for the smooth running of the institution when it is fully established.
I do hope this won't become one of his white elephant projects that's only geared towards siphoning funds. I wish them all the best though.
