The new Vice - Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Professor Olayemi Durotimi Akinwumi, assume office with an assurance to build on his predecessors foundation with fund generation and making FUL one of the top ten ranking University in Africa as his utmost agenda . This was made known at the inauguration ceremony that started with a long walk from the gate of the university's permanent site which attracted lots of well-wisher including traditional rulers. In his welcoming address, the registrar of the school, Mr. Suleman Usman Obansa welcomed all who were in attendance and assured the new VC of the University community commitment to work hand in hand to making sure that the school become an enviable place for all.
