Governor Yahaya Bello call on Youths in Nigeria to Embrace Unity rather than Division.

The governor of Kogi State, his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoiza Bello call on youths in Nigeria to Embrace unity and peace rather than division. He made the call during a novelty match between the Newdirection Team and exsuper eagles players of USA1994 and the 1996 set at the confluence stadium lokoja today which ended 1:1. The Governor in his address, recognised the efforts of the 1994 and 1996 set of super eagles in making Nigeria proud. The Governor appreciated God for the success of the event and noted that the event signifies that Kogites and indeed Nigerians are lovers of the game of football. The Novelty Match Between the Newdirection Team and Exsuper Eagles Players of 1994 and 1996 ended 1:1.

The Novelty Match Between the Newdirection Team of Kogi State which comprises members of the State executives, commissioners and special advisers and the ex-super eagles players of 1994 and 1996 set ended 1:1, the match was played at the confluence stadium Lokoja . The event began with a curtain raiser between Kogi United FC and Confluence Queen FC of Lokoja. The Novelty Match saw the ex-super eagles dominating the game at the first half but all efforts made was fruitless as none could not be converted, the first half ended goalless.  However, two minutes into the second half of the game, a player of the Newdirection Team was brought down in the penalty area and the referee awarded a penalty in favour of the Newdirection Team. Justice Sunday Omeiza Otu Sworn - in as New Substantive Chief Judge of Kogi State.

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji yahaya Adoiza Bello today 23rd March, 2021 swear in Justice Sunday Omeiza Otu as the new substantive Chief Judge of the State at the bounquet hall Kogi State government house Lokoja. In his remark, the Attorney general of the State Ibrahim Muhammad noted that upon his appointment, Justice Otu was found meritorious and that his appointment is as a result of his role and performance as an acting chief judge of the state.  Muhammad however, appreciates Kogi State House of Assembly for conferming his appointment after a thorough screening adding that Justice Otu is qualified judging from the array of his credentials, describing him as a round peg in a round hole. He thanked the governor for his respect for constitutionalism and the rule of law and his love for the judiciary in the state. Kanu Nwankwo Visits Governor Yahaya Bello in Abuja.

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Governor Yahaya Adoiza Bello received former Nigeria Super Eagles Captain Kanu Nwankwo yesterday 17th March, 2021 at his state house residence in Abuja . The former Nigeria Super Eagles Captain presented to the governor a Nigeria jersey number 4 and a football with his autograph. Kanu described governor Bello as a bridge builder and commended him for his youth and women inclusion in his administration. Similarly, a novelty football match has been organized between His Excellency team and USA 94 Squad to be played live at the confluence stadium Lokoja on Tuesday 30th March, 2021.

Lokoja Football Referees Society Held her 2019/2020 Season AGM in Lokoja.

The Lokoja Football Referees Society today 15th March,2021 held her 2019/2020 season Annual General Meeting with the call on members to be proffessioners in the discharge of their duties. The meeting is meant to x-ray the performance of the executive and the society at large . Delivering his report, the Chairman of the society, chief C.C Anichukwu stated that irrespective of the COVID-19 pandemic that affected activities of the society, the society has religiously observed her welfare responsibilities to members which according to him is topmost priority to the current executive and has not been compromised. Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nation Cancelled

The 2021 edition of the Total under 17 Cup of nation scheduled to hold in Morocco later this year has been cancelled.The CAF Emergency Committee met on Monday, March 08, 2021 in Rabat, Morocco to decide on the holding of the 2021 U17 Total Africa Cup of Nations. "The Committee was made aware of the constraints faced by some of the participating member associations as well as the host country including the fact that the coronavirus pandemic continues to present significant challenges for the organization of international sporting events. Taking into account the cancellation by FIFA of the Under-17 World Cup for which the U-17 CAN was no longer qualifying, the Committee further noted: • The resurgence of the Covid19 pandemic. • Increased restrictions on international travel • Uncertainty about the evolution of the situation" According to the committee, these above reasons informed the Committee decision cancel the 2021 edition of the Total U17 Africa Cup of Nations.

International Women’s Day: Stop discriminatory acts against women, NGO urges Nigerians - NAN

The international women's day celebration 2021focuses on the topic choose to challenge injustice, this is to remind woman across the world to take a stand against injustice and to take their stand in their various life endeavors. According to News Agency of Nigeria,Christian Aid Nigeria, a Non-Govermental Organisation (NGO), has called on Nigerians to stop discriminatory acts against women in the country. The Country Director, Christian Aid Nigeria, Charles Usie, made the call at a news conference organised by the NGO as part of activities to mark the 2021 International Women’s Day on Sunday in Abuja. According to Usie, the organisation leverage and partner at the global level to correct the ills against women in Nigeria . 2020 Stakeholders Interactive Forum Organized by ITF Lokoja Area Office.

The Industrial Training Fund Lokoja Area Office organized the 2020 interactive forum in Lokoja with the aim of x-raying the activities of the Fund. The meeting is to serve as an avenue for stakeholders to air their opinions of the activities of the Fund in relation to service delivery so as to enable the Fund serve clients better in the area of training and capacity building. The responsibility of the Industrial Training Fund as a government agency is to enhance performance and productivity by way of facilitating human capacity development in the Nigerian economy so as to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and higher productivity. The breakfast interactive meeting drew participants from different government agencies, parastatals and MDAs as well as private organisations.
