Governor Yahaya Bello call on Youths in Nigeria to Embrace Unity rather than Division.

The governor of Kogi State, his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoiza Bello call on youths in Nigeria to Embrace unity and peace rather than division. He made the call during a novelty match between the Newdirection Team and exsuper eagles players of USA1994 and the 1996 set at the confluence stadium lokoja today which ended 1:1.

The Governor in his address, recognised the efforts of the 1994 and 1996 set of super eagles in making Nigeria proud. The Governor appreciated God for the success of the event and noted that the event signifies that Kogites and indeed Nigerians are lovers of the game of football. Bello however stated that, the act is to demonstrate that Nigeria is one and a United Nation not minding our differences that my be in terms of socio ethnic groups, language, religious beliefs as well as political affiliations.

Furthermore, Governor Bello said youths in the country are saying together we shall remain as Nigeria, and called on youths to emphasise on the things that bring and binds us together as a nation rather than those that divides us.

NUC Approves Confluence University of Science and Technology Osara.

The national Universities Commission has given lincence for the establishment of Confluence University of Science and Technology in Osara - Okene Kogi State (CUSTECH).The approval documents was presented by the executive Secretary of the commission, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Rasheed to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello in Abuja. Prof. Rasheed who appreciated the efforts of the state government in investing in education, urged the State government to take adequate advantage of the professional and technical support and advice that the commission statutorily provide for the establishment, funding and operation of the university, adding that all other supporting agencies such as the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have been informed.
