Governor Yahaya Bello flag-off the distribution of 100 Tractors and Educational Materials to 21 Local Government in the State.

By Emeje The Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has commissioned 100 tractors and Educational Materials to be distributed across the 21 Local Government Area of the state in actualization of his campaign promises to revitalize agriculture in the State. The programme was held at the old township stadium Lokoja with traditional rulers, commissioners and other government functionaries in attendance. In his welcoming address, the honorable commissioner for Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Salami Ozogi Deedat noted that this gesture of the governor is unprecedented in the history of the state and that it is a major revolution in the agricultural sector that will bring about food sufficiency and security. The Inspector General of Police Dissolved SARS.

The Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Adamu has Dissolved a subunit of the force, the Special Anti-Robbery Squard (SARS) across the 36 state police commands and the FCT. The dissolution of the subunit was made public on Sunday in the wake of several civil protests demanding for the scrapping of the unit for allegations of brutality and fundamental human rights violation across the country.
